![]() ![]() It’s cool to see SpongeBob sort of have a mentor, even if Jim is sort of a jerk. It introduces an interesting new character, and the story is overall pretty solid. Krabs then reveals the reason he likes SpongeBob is because he is cheap. Jim tells SpongeBob that while he’s a good fry cook, he’ll never be a great fry cook as long as he works at the Krusty Krab. Krabs simply laughs it off, thinking Jim was joking again. This one, a little later, shows Jim getting frustrated at his job, asking Mr. Jim however, says he doesn’t have any desire to work at the Krusty Krab, as we get another flashback. Krabs and Jim talking and laughing, as SpongeBob comes out of the freezer telling him he feels upset because he believes Jim wants to replace him. Krabs comes in and reads the note, much to his dismay, but SpongeBob, staying inside the freezer, is unaware what Mr. Krabs about leaving, and starts to say goodbyes to everything in the Krusty Krab. Eventually, once the toilet is clogged, SpongeBob decides he is going to quit his job at the Krusty Krab to let Jim replace him. However, Jim criticizes each one, telling SpongeBob that the pickles were cut too thick, or there was a little too much mustard, as he proceeds to flush SpongeBob’s patties down the toilet. SpongeBob begs Jim to teach him how to become a great fry cook like him, as he prepares a few Krabby Patties. However, when he tastes one of Jim’s patties, he suddenly realizes where all the praise comes from. SpongeBob starts feeling annoyed seeing all the praise Jim gets, just wishing for appreciation. Krabs reveals that under the Employee of the Month wall is a Best Employee Ever wall, which has a picture of Jim. SpongeBob asks if he and Squidward have had good times, in which Squidward just says “No.” We get a brief montage of the Krusty Krab in the 1970s, as Jim prepared a perfect Krabby Patty. Krabs and Squidward think back in time, when the place had class. Everyone turns to the limo, running over SpongeBob, and out steps Jim: the Krusty Krab’s original fry cook. This episode starts with SpongeBob preparing a Krabby Patty, only when a golden limousine stops by. Synopsis: SpongeBob tries to live up to Jim’s legacy. “The kid’s a good fry cook, but he’ll only be a great fry cook when he has the guts to quit this dump.” ![]()
